Hello! My name is Tim and I am:
- A Computer Science student at Boston University.
- I'm a senior!
- Things i enjoy and have enjoyed studying include: combinatorics, algorithms,
graph theory, calculus, probability, existentialism, Hellenistic philosophy,
and programming languages.
- I do research! Currently, I'm starting up on projects involving
neural networks and quantum algorithm analysis.
In the past, I worked with Mark Crovella at BU, in
collaboration with the Tufts Bioinformatics and Computational
Biology Research Group. I dabble with protein-protein
interaction networks, matrices derived from those graphs, the
Gene Ontology, and a
distance metric that
we believe does a great job at capturing functional similarity.
- This summer, I worked at Google Cambridge as a software
engineering intern. In addition to authoring multiple
memes, I made some significant improvements to my team's
release processes! Check out my resume or LinkedIn for more
info.
- Aspiring to be any (or all) of the following:
- Software engineer / data scientist / computer scientist-at-large.
(Check out my GitHub from the links below, or my resume here.)
Few things would mean as much to me as work that could make the world a significantly better place
or save the environment, and us with it, from eventual (imminent?) collapse.
- A photographer, good enough for National Geographic to hire.
(Take a look at the photos in my gallery or Instagram and let me know if you think I'm close.)
- The owner of a coffee shop overlooking a bay, river, or the sea.
- A lover of such things:
- Wes Anderson films.
- The music of U2.
- Coffee! (The specialty/third wave kind.)
- City streets. Nature trails. Drives. Train rides. Flights.
- Rock climbing.
- Complex problems. Elegant solutions.
